Britain takes four golds
The European Championships in Omnisport, Apeldoorn literally went out with a bang as the Belgian team of Iljo Keisse and Kenny de Ketele won the Madison. In the final of a nerve-wrecking race they took a lap and the title. There was a bronze medal for the Dutch team as Kirsten Wild came in third on the omnium.
The Netherlands and the city of Apeldoorn in particular look forward to welcoming you to the 2011 European Championships Track Cycling. With more than 16 million inhabitants and possibly the same amount of bicycles, the Netherlands is a cyclist’s paradise. Our rich cycling tradition also makes the Netherlands the ideal location for this global cycling event, which will be held in an indoor cycling hall in the Netherlands. We are proud to act as host for this event in the multifunctional sport centre Omnisport Apeldoorn.
